Please be mentally and physically present (cell phone use is prohibited). Follow classroom policies and procedures: During the first week of school, we will create and review our classroom norms. Ask for help/Provide help: We are a family of language learners and as family members we should help others whenever help is needed. Show awareness of our cultural diversity: Be respectful of the opinions of others. Praise others: There is nothing more motivating than receiving a complement. Smile: Whenever you want to do it. Be happy: Share it. Consequences: A positive attitude is essential to maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.Therefore, the following consequences are in response to behavior not compliance with the basic classroom values listed above. · First infraction: Verbal warning · Second infraction: Teacher-Student Conference · Third infraction: Moved to another room · Fourth Infraction: Parent contact · Fifth infraction: Referral Materials:
